I remember those days when I couldn't wait the next day to get the hottest and newest game to hit the shelves. For example, the release of Halo 2, I was one of the millions of people around the world standing outside of GameStop late at night waiting for them to open the doors at midnight so people could pick up their pre-orders. (hehe) those were some good days, but I'm glad they're gone. LOL, I know how your kids feel.
