Free Online College Courses

March 21, 2008 – 7:00 am

This information came to me in my E-Mail at work and I wanted to provide this to everyone around the world.

There are a long list of colleges and universities that offer free online college courses for students, adults, or anyone looking to broaden the knowledge in almost every area of education. Some of the most prestigious colleges in the world are offering free online courses in fields and even supply the necessary information and help for those who are looking to pursue their High School Diploma or GED. Here is only a small list of those prestigious colleges that are currently offering free online courses:

  • University of California at Berkeley
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Stanford University
  • Yale University
  • University of Notre Dame
  • Carnegie Mellon University

As I said this is only a small list of the complete list of universities offering these free programs, but also, online-only schools such as DeVry and the University of Phoenix offer the same programs where individuals can take advantage of as well. All you need to do is search their site a bit to find yourself to their free programs.

Some classes operate via video and podcasts, so if you’re subscribed to the HelpMyCashGrow.com Video or Audio Blog and Podcast, then it is just as easy to subscribe and download audio & video lectures/presentations. MIT allows users to download the entire course to view offline, while others are strictly online-based only.

Now there are a few cons to this. These college courses are non-transferable and cannot be applied to a degree plan. So there are no university credits that can be used. Also, some courses may involve reading lists to where you may have to purchase books. So though the classes may be free, some necessary reading material is not.

Be sure to visit this link for more information on how you can take advantage of some of these courses along with a more broader list of colleges and universities offering such programs to the general public: CLICK HERE FOR MORE

I, myself, am very interested and will be taking some online writing classes. I expect to do a lot of internet publishing via blogging and other means and would like to improve my writing as much as possible to provide greater quality material to the site. Also, I’m looking into Modern Language classes, primarily Spanish, Broadcasting and Publishing, and Business Management.

Of course, I’ll keep you up-to-date with my progress but don’t wait on me, take a look into some of these benefits for yourself as well.
